An Old Dog Learns New Tricks

We've all heard that you're supposed to sight in with the ammo you're going to use hunting.

Well, 20 years ago I bought a rifle that would shoot any brand, any bullet weight etc etc into the same group so kind of forgot about these words of wisdom.

Was helping my brother sight in his .270 Win Model 70 (put on a new scope) and we had it close with Winchester power point 130 grain cheapo ammo. Just in case we shot a couple with the Silvertip 130 gr. he hunts with. (You know... silver plated case, black coated bullet with silver tip...). That shot 8"-10" higher at 100 yards! I've NEVER seen a rifle show such a difference.

An old dog re-learned a trick today. (YES we mounted the scope correctly).
After getting it on zero the rifle grouped nicely.
