Can you ship ammo by US post Office. Brass and bullets are OK. Primers and powder I am not sure about either.

Live ammo cannot be shipped USPS, it has to go UPS (no hazmat fee)
Bullets and brass can go USPS
Powder and primers have to go UPS with Hazmat fee (usually passed on to buyer)

Also, it has to be a UPS outlet, not a UPS store. UPS stores are individually owned, and they basically drive the items to an outlet, and do not have the rating to travel with "hazardous" materials

This is UPS' policy and NOT the law.

This is NOT true; UPS stores aren't making deliveries to UPS counters. Packages are picked up at the UPS store -- and other UPS outlets -- by UPS drivers.

Ammunition can also be sent via Federal Express.

On another note, it never ceases to amaze me at the amount of CRAP to which people willingly subject themselves with regard to UPS and Federal Express. They allow various self-important employees of PRIVATE companies to dictate silly and arcane rules, which are often more reflective of that individual's personal views, than to simply follow federal and state laws regulating the shipment of firearms. The BEST way to avoid this nonsense is to sign up for a Federal Express or UPS account online and print your own shipping labels. Weigh your packages at home -- use your bathroom scale if necessary -- and simply give the packages to a UPS or Federal Express driver or drop off anywhere from which UPS and Federal Express are shipped. You can also arrange for UPS or Federal Express to pick up at your location.

AVOID THE NONSENSE.
