I’ve been looking for another .45 handgun, and as some of you know I’ve been considering something like the Ruger P90.
I went to the local gun shop yesterday, and was looking at a used P90. The Gun Smith there knows me well. I've been working with him for over 10 years now. He decided to show me an American Classic II 1911 clone. He told me that he has tried to find something wrong with the gun, but hasn't been able to find any real flaws with it. (Ugly hammer, and grips.) I have to tell you that I'm impressed with it. I never thought that I'd be impressed with a $400 1911 made in the Philippians. The fit and finish was as good as it gets. The bluing was very nice, and the barrel fitting was tight. This gun comes with every feature that is expected in the market these days. I'm trying to over look the fact that it's made in the Philippians.
Has anyone put a few thousand rounds through one of these yet? They are also the same gun by Fire Storm, and they are both imported by Metro Arms.
Thanks,
DBAR
