Alabama "Reciprocal Agreement" proposal

Anyone got info on SB-79 and HB-100? A friend sent me an e-mail, that said briefly the Gov. of Alabama was pushing, or signing, or SOMETHING, these two bills that would finally add provisions for pistol permit/CCW reciprocity between Alabama and other states (I live in GA, right on the GA/AL line)

I can't find anything else about it... anyone?

I would also like to know about this as I live in Tn and travel through Al on the way to Atlanta. Sure would be nice as I make it a point to not make any stops in Al just to be on the safe side.

It's late, I'm sleepy....

....or I'd look it up. A few weeks ago, someone posted something about this either here or on GlockTalk. As I recall, a reciprocity CCW bill was passed and signed into law. Now the Alabama government can negotiate reciprocity agreements with other states.

Someone correct me if I got this wrong.
