I got a hold of a condemned aircraft front windscreen out of a Brasilia EMB-120 and wondered how it'd hold up to gunfire........It was fun! Placed it about 100yds out and used 165gr. Rem CoreLokt out of a Rem 700. It shattered the first layer, went through a middle spongy layer and shattered the back layer out as it passed through. I then went for the metal border and it passed easily through it. I also brought my Glock 21 and used 230gr Hornady fmj-fp with 6.5gr. of Unique at 100 yds, when I did hit it, it also passed through the windscreen. The previous damage didn't seam to make a difference in it's strength.
I also brought my SLR-95 and used wolf ammo 123gr. hp's, it was getting near dark and the muzzle flash was impressive, but it obviously went easily through the windscreen and the metal border.
