Aerosol Gun Cleaners

Are most aerosol gun cleaners such as Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber and Break Free the same as Brake Cleaner or Carburetor Cleaner? I am looking for a cheaper alternative. I have used Birchwood Casey, but it`s $11.99 a can. The carb and brake cleaner is only about $3.99 a can. Have any of you guys use brake or carb cleaner on a polymer gun?
I want a spray cleaner that I can use on my polymer S&W M&P that will not harm the polymer. I hear a lot of you guys like the CLP. Who makes that product?

I use super tech Brake cleaner, Wal mart, I know, I sorry. But it is $2 a can. Keep it away from plastics. Or at least test first. It will blow off cheap paint by the way, but is harmless to blueing and some finishes. Great for ARs and Semis.
Break free makes CLp, it is good stuff too, but i use it mostly just for lube. the break parts cleaner blows the crud out.

I've used both.

The Gun Scrubber seems to do a little better job but not enough to justify the difference in price....I use Brake Cleaner.
