adjusting the parallax ?

Does the scope have marks with numbers like 100, 200, 300 on the Bell or a knob on the side?
What I do is set up the rifle , my setup is rear bag ( bunny ear type ) and bi pod . Position croosshairs on the target , 200yard range and parallax on scope at 200 . Get the proper eye relief through the scope and without moving the position from cheek pressure , I do the same as you up and down and side to side , most scopes are very close . I do this at the range when you know for sure the distance matches the scope markings. Right eye relief ( sight picture ) is important too. How much movement are we talking in both up & down and side to side .

You should be able to twist the Bell until the number matches the distance to the target. When you are set properly at a known distance move your head around. If the crosshair moves adjust the Bell a little and check again. It should be close. If it is way off call Leopold and see what they can do. They will need to know how far off the target the crosshair moves when set up at a certain distance. Or how far off the Bell setting was when you have no parallax.

I would recommend trying the steps I'm going to list. If your eye focus isn't set correctly it can make it hard to adjust the parallax with the side focus.
First I would set the scope at 100 yards from a target and move the side focus till the object is in perfect focus.
Next you will adjust the eye focus till the reticle is in focus.
Doing that should get both focuses close to each other eliminating any parallax issue.
I would give that a try. If it doesn't work It may need to be sent into us for inspection to make sure everything is working correctly.

I always found focusing the croosshairs the trickiest , could be my progressive lenses . When looking through the scope your eyes can't focus on two different images at two different distances. Setting parallax your aiming distance 100 yards must be accurate to see how accurate your bell 100 is , your head movement is correct 1/8 of movement is alot if both 100's are correct. I have a issue with my scope with a canted retical but I only shoot at 200 yards so it's no big deal , hopefully there isn't a issue with your scope . Have you had a problem adjusting parallax with other scopes.?
