Can you adjust the trigger pull on the following rifles?
Savage model 93R17 17.HMR (not Accu-trigger)
Remington 700 SPS .270
I finally got around to sighting both of these in over the weekend. I had some good groups but if I could lighten the trigger pull they would be MUCH better. Any ideas? Thanks.

It's not worth the trouble to play with the old Savage trigger , it takes lots of time and you have to know what you're doing. There are a few good after market triggers available than can be installed without too much trouble....There are aftermarket triggers for the 700 also. See www.brownells.com

The Savage rimfire guns are supposed to start shipping with adjustable Accutriggers sometime this year, but I assume yours does not have it.

Motor over to rimfirecentral.com and choose the Savage forum, that'll show you how to lighten your 93's trigger and remove some of the wobble and creep.

You can also get the Rifle Basix sear replacement, or, uhmm, the other one. Super Sniper or somehting? "SSS," I'm sure you'll see something on RFC, or savageshooters.com.
