First, what is the going rate to have a barrel reamed and threaded to accept screw-in chokes? Secondly, can anyone recommend a company who does this kind of work?

Jess Briley in Houston ( www.briley.com ) is a pioneer in this area and still considered one of if not the foremost expert in the country. His work and chokes are outstanding. Check his website for prices or call them. I use his extended chokes in my Browning O/U.

Good shooting and be safe.

Boss how's it going? I agree that Briley would be the way to go. I believe the going rate is about $200 and that includes 2 or three chokes. It might be more cost effective to pick up a new or used barrel instead. Just a thought, good luck!

Yeah Trap I was thinking the same thing. I just procured a Wingmaster 870 with a 30.0" Full choke barrel. I was thinking of adding a Rem-choke style sytem to it, but I will probably bag it. I was hoping that I could get it drilled and tapped for a choke for around $50, plus the price of the choke. We shall see.
