9mm Luger (Parabellum) Lee Loader woes.

I've tried the 9mm Lee Loader a couple of times now, and both times I have been defeated by bullet seating issues. To wit, I cannot get the damn things to go in.

The 9mm set has no expander tool, and the advice is to chamfer the case neck with tools that include a pocket knife. I decided to try using a case neck chamfer-deburr tool, but to no avail. All was fine until the bullet seating stage.

Anyone out there got any advice? Or do I just need to be more brutal with the hammer?

It could be that you have brass that is thicker at the case mouth. In my experiences, some brass is a few thousandths thicker. I have a lot of 9mm brass from maybe 6 different manufacturers. I found that Federal cases are thinner than all the others. I save these for using my oversized cast bullets.

If you have mixed brass, measure the case mouths then sort accordingly. You may have better luck with your Lee Loader. If you don't have a micrometer, a good caliper can see the difference.
