Anyone had any experience with this bullet? Thinking about loading up 1,000 124 and 1000 147 just to have on hand if needed. Wondering how they actually perform. I have seen YouTube claim them to be the best and the worst defensive bullet made. Also see same mixed results there on XTP and I know them to be rock solid defense ammo.

I have some and I have loaded them for use as practice rounds, but I haven't shot them into gelatin so I don't know how well (or if) they expand.

BTW, this is a reloading question, so I'm moving the discussion to Reloading.

Sorry for putting in wrong spot. I was specifically interested in the 124 and 147 performance from the 9mm semi auto platform. How they run. How they terminally perform etc. I don't have any questions about how to load them.

I believe they are similar to xtreme hollow point and they don’t recommend them for defense rds, are these plated? Also I never use reloaded ammo for self defense.

But they are very accurate with titegroup powder.

Who doesn't recommend Xtreme hollow points for defense? Xtreme? If they don't think they're any good for self-defense, why are they selling them?

There? https://www.xtremebullets.com/Hollow-Points-s/57142.htm

Not at all the same as the Berry's Hybrid Hollow Points. Those Xtreme bullets don't have any cuts to promote expansion. The Berry's HHP bullets do.

Berry's Hybrid Hollow Points are the result of two merged developmental ideas. Following the same process as our Superior Plated Bullets®, they start with a swaged lead core that is then electroplated with copper to final weight. Lastly, they are re-struck to ensure precise specifications and create the Hybrid Hollow Point nose design. This design allows for maximum expansion and weight retention, becoming one of the most reliable self defense bullets available today.

Yep they are definitely different designs, there is no way I ever use my own reloads in my concealed carry.

I believe I have seen some discussions where you can reload to same specs as your carry ammo as practice ammo .

My apologies Reynolds,

No where did you mention xtreme bullets… I did not intend to hijack your post down the rabbit hole for that I do apologize.
