Is there one, or is this just being petty and finding a (legal???) way to hurt the commercial firearms industry??

As reported in the news, the administration is implementing a 90 day ban on the export of civilian firearms, to non governmental purchasers outside the US.

How is this anything but a cheap shot against civilian firearms makers in the US??

WHAT POSSIBLE "National Security Concerns" can there be from the export of SPORTING FIREARMS???

Seems that they are going to continue to allow civilian sale to foreign governments, but not to private gun dealers outside of a short list of "approved" nations.

Thoughts?

If an export ban is to promote public safety then background checks to purchase ammunition are to promote safety... The safety of tyrants.

Repeatedly a pattern emerges, a pattern of behavior expressed through poorly written ignorant legislation and selective enforcement of the law.

What will they think of next [emoji3080]

Whether it is individual gun owners or manufactures the goal is to make firearms ownership, manufacture or sell as difficult and expensive as "legally" possible. This will result in fewer businesses and customers and slow death of the industry.
