8-shot Taurus revolvers...

Seeing the post on 8-shot Taurus revolvers below reminded me of such a revolver I saw in a local gunstore about two years ago.

It was a Taurus stainless DAO with 2 1/2" barrel, 8-shot .357. Now, of course, it is not listed as a "safe" handgun here in California, so I probably couldn't get it here.

I lusted after that gun, but ultimately didn't buy it. Now I WISH I HAD DONE SO!!!!

Questions:

1. Does Taurus still make this gun in the configuration described above?

2. Does anyone own one? What do you think? Should I be envious or glad I didn't shell out the $$ two years ago?

I saw one the other day with a 6" barrel, but it wasn't new but it shows that they are still out there any way.

I don't know if they still make the 2.5" barrel copnfiguration.

The Model 608 is a large-frame .357 that holds 8 rounds. They also make soe medium fram units that hold 7. The S&W 686 Plus also holds seven rounds.
