Anyone have consistancy/accuracy with a particular brand of 7mm bullets? I'm looking for 139 -140gr moving at approx 2300 f/s out of a 7-30 Waters for northeast deer.

I have a 7BR, 7-08, and 7mag. I have found Speer, Sierra, and Nosler to work well in all of them. The BR prefers 120 and 130, the -08 prefers 140, and the 7 mag prefers 160, with 140 close behind. Any similar maker of quality bullets should work well, depending on the powder, etc.

Good luck

Hornady Interbonds (These are more for mags)

7mm .284 139 gr InterBond®
SKU: 28209 | 100/BX

7mm .284 154 gr InterBond®
SKU: 28309 | 100/BX

For the 7-30 I would use

7mm .284 139gr InterLock® SP
SKU: 2820 | 100/BX

I tried many of those Hornadys- just could never get them to work well in MY rifle with the powders I was using - 760, 4350, 4831, 4064, 7828. You would think they would still do good as close in shape and size....oh well, part of the fun is finding "the one load" that puts a smile on your face

I'll bet the Speer 145 spitzer flat base Hot-Core would make you a good hunting load for your 7-30 Waters , with either W-748 or 760 .

combined technology for 7-30 Waters

I do NOT recommend the CT (aka fail-safe from Nosler/Win) for use in the 7-30 because the CT only works good in the really fast chamberings (7 RemMag, 7x64), also the 7-08 is to slow for creating a consistent performance of the CT........
