7400 Remington problem

Remington 7400 (30-06)

When mine is fired... the recoil releases the magazine latch. (Happens to all five mags)

The retension spring seems a little weak and there is no stronger spring available from Remington.

Anyone else had this problem?

How can it be fixed?

A new spring is going to be stronger than an old one . I'd go ahead and replace it , and check the lip on the catch it may be wearing too . Once the sharp edge wears down they sometimes will release when fired , the bolt stripping the next round from the mag is a pretty violent process .
