7400 Rem .243 VALUE?

Just looked at a Remington 7400 in .243 that is kind of tickling my fancy...

It has to be +90% on the outside... Owner is asking $600 but I won't pay that no matter the value... To me it is a $400-500 max...

It has a scope that would immediately come off as I prefer irons and this is a wimpy tasco to boot...

I give ZERO trade value on the scope...

Are these a reliable shooter or jam-o-matic?

$300 mint. See'em all the time. I paid $250 or $300( can't remember which) for mine new in box about 20 years ago.

I have owned one and have worked on a number of them. If I ever bought another, the price would have to be right and for me, even $400.00 would not work. ...

I have experience some of their weak points. .....
