Hi all,
I recently got a new to me Smith and Wesson 5903 which I love. However the slide stop on it, when I carry IWB, come to such a point that it digs into my hip. Does anyone know if there is a reduced profile version I might be able to find somewhere?

I always reduce them when I get a 3rd Gen S&W. I use a Dremel and then finish it with a hand file and wet dry sandpaper. Take your time and you won't even be able to tell that it wasn't a factory job.

Cool thanks! I don't know about dremeling it myself. I'd be worried I might screw up.

The other thought I had was contacting the S&W performance center and seeing what they said. They offer an action job and a ramp and hood polish for $150 and I didn't know if they might be able to do this too.

IIRC the factory used a lower-profile slide stop on later-production 3rd-gen pistols. Perhaps a call to the factory parts department can solve your problem. :)
