Hey guys,
I need a trigger Spring to fit this Pietta '51 Navy (stamped BM). This one is in .44 Cal. I ordered a spring from Numrich but it's too short on the trigger side. Could any of you gentlemen point me to a spring that might work for this revolver? Thanks in advance.

Elongate the screw hole with a file to turn it into an oval shape. This will allow you move the spring rearward allowing the spring to reach the trigger. You can even remove so much metal from the screw hole that it becomes a U shape and becomes a slot rather than a hole. After reshaping the spring hole place a flat washer between the screw and the spring. Position the spring where it functions best.

No spring will be a guaranteed drop in, may require some fitting. Any SAA spring should work, try Brownells or Midway. You can also get a wire spring, which will be less inclined to break. You can get an original Pietta spring from www.vtigunparts.com

A bobby pin makes a good hand spring. Not sure how you'd make a trigger/bolt spring out of one.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. I ordered another one from VTI if it's too short I'll start fitting them.

The trigger spring from VTI gun parts was a drop in fit. The gun is all back together and a happy customer left the store. I was able to make him a working revolver out of a bag of parts LOL.
