just finished loading 21 rnds of .243 went from 39.0 to 42.0 in half grain charges. hope to try them this week. really like this rifle. want to shoot it more. the bullet was 100 gr. hornady soft points. any body got any pointers?
Yep. If you've got some other ammo laying around, such as factory stuff, take along 4 or 5 rounds of that and use it for fouling shots. Every time I take my .270 out the first group is terrible, then it settles in.
Depending on what your target is, for pure accuracy you might want to try something around a 75-85 gr bullet. the .243 seems to like that weight. it's twist dependant naturally.
