.44 Titegroup loadings

I'm currently loading with Titegroup and want some preliminary loadings for the following bullet weights:

180 gr.
185 gr.
200 gr.

At this point I'm interested in starting data for light loads for this caliber. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I load predominatly 185 gr HP for my 44 spec. When loading lite, I use 4 gr of titegroup. I use 5 gr for 200 grain HP.

Great Powder. I use it for mostly everything that is not magnum.

From the Hodgdon site (http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp) :

Titegroup starting and max loads .44 Rem Mag-
180 GR JHP - 10.3-11.5 grains
185 GR LRNFP - 5.3-6.6 grains
200 GR LRNFP - 5.0-6.6 grains
200 GR JHP - 9.7-10.8 grains

Personally, I would step up to a slower burning powder. IMR 4227 and W296 are two of the powders prefered by many .44 shooters I know.

You're in luck. Hodgdon used to show some detailed load data for TG on their website. I loaded .44mag back then and saved a copy. For the 185gr bullets I suggest you use data for 200gr bullets.

I saved .44 special data too. I used .44mag brass for the special loadings and never had trouble with squibs using TG. It's marketed as a position insensitive powder and seems to work well in large cases. I only shot 240gr SWC in .44spl
