I recently picked up a bag of BPI's "Stretch 36" wads for my .410.
I was able to get a couple of patterns done this weekend.
Using 3 inch hulls, the wads - stiffer than "normal" .410 wads and with two slits - I loaded 5/8ths oz of #8 shot.
Normally, I pattern the .410 at 25 yards.
I patterned these at 30. FC.
80% in a 30 inch circle at 30 yards.
70% in a 18 inch circle at 30 yards.
Nice even patterns.
I shall try these on the Trap range - just to see.

.410 Buckshot Wads

I am looking to get some wads for my .410 buckshot loads....would like stiff, non-slit wads, to keep the pellets in line-astern as long as possible. Any suggestions ? Thanks, George

I used cardboard and different ranges to show my x how her .410 patterned before we went hunting. I do not remember at what distance, but the pattern developed a "Hole" (About 8") right in the middle of the pattern. Think that was the wad? It was Federal #5 shot. Just curious, both are now gone.
