.410 handguns

Some years ago someone marketed a serously ugly gun called the Thundergun or something along that line. It was a 5-shot revolver with a long cylinder for the 3" 410ga shell. The barrel was lightly rifled so that it wouldn't be classified as a short barreled shotgun. It also fired the .45 Colt.

The frames looked like they were cast metal. Imagine a parkerized 2" barreled S&W 500Mag with the topstrap being only about 3/8" wide and flat on the sides with a 1/2" height.

If you want to see what these looked like, go here:

This is what I think I saw. It looks sort of looks like a bfr because of the cyclinder, kind of. It was a while ago.

This gun was actually made by a subsidiary of BFR, called d-max.

Yup. That is on seriously ugly gun. :D

I have no idea of the reliabilty of the gun nor how effective it's short tube is (especially with shot loads as the barrel is rifled to meet legal requirements). But then, if you were looking down the business end of it, I'm not sure I'd want to risk the owner firing it.

Ewww...I like Bersa but that thing is ugly :barf:

I think they did a little better with this one:

It's a single shot .410/45LC and I think goes for around $120 new...that's your job to look up. :D Says it shoots slugs and all. I thought about getting one to show off shooting clays, but how far can a 10" bbl break a clay at with a .410? LOL

I have a DBL barrel shotgun pistol .Shoots 45 colt or .410 shotgun rounds .Handy little car gun about 26 oz empty ,easy to shoot as a single action 2 shot pistol.Picture has more info. There was a heat sheild under the barrels took it off and replacing the grips that came with gun ,they were to small for a good hold but in the meantime this works quite well .I don't recall were I bought the gun it might have been SOG or FAC .

A close friend has the Bersa Thunder Five, but it is made by someone else. Cannot remember who right now though. I've shot it several time for kicks. Very heavy, and very ugly!
