410 / 45 ?

No.

Bore and projectile diameter on 45LC is a nominal .452-452". Bore on a 410 is, surprise, .410". Imagine pushing a golf ball down a garden hose.

Pressures would go wild, and chances of a blowup are too good.

so... I guess I am just thinking backwards.. so if you had a 45lc barrel... or "sxs" you could then put .410 in it.. but not the opposite. right?

It's never a very good idea to put any kind of bullet into a firearm other than the one it was designed to fire. If you don't know, look at the barrel. If it's not imprinted there, don't fire it.

There are firearms that can fire muliple calibers. Such as many revolvers can fire both .357 and .38 special. The is are a few revolvers that can fire .45 LC or .410 shells. They are designed to do so.

back when I was in high school I knew a guy who used to shoot 44 magnums through his 410 single shot....not sure whatever happened to him. He might have blown himself up with stunts like that.

My father has recently bought a Tarus pistol that can shoot .45 pistol ammunition and can also shoot shell of the 410 shotgun. It is amazing but the pattern of the 410 isnt like the pattern of my XT but it'll be able to take squirell at 20 yds. The 45 has a great group at 30 yds it shoots an 2 in group around the center.

USA, That is a taurus "judge" and it isn't designed for .45 pistol ammo. It is designed for the .45 colt ammo. ACP is rimless pistol ammo and if it can be used would require a "moon clip".

I actually have a deringer / 6" barrel - that is chambered and built to shoot either .45 Long Colt or .410 shotshell. I inherited it from my wife's older brother when he passed away .... and its a terrible little gun with about a 10lb trigger pull / but manual specifically says it can shoot both.

The Taurus Judge is another weapon chambered in .45 Long Colt or .410 shotgun shell - and presumably they have built it to specs allowing for the pressures, etc.

I would not shoot . 45 Long Colt in a .410 shotgun / partly for pressures and I don't know for sure if the shotgun barrel can handle the pressures of the .45 long colt or not / but mostly because of the length of a shotgun barrel - I don't know how much damage that bullet in a .45 long colt may do going down the barrel.

The Taurus Judge does shoot .410 and .45 LC equally well. The kick from the shot shells is a little intimidating, but the Taurus "Ribber" grips and weight of the gun help a lot. It's a lot of fun to shoot. We like it for a "last stand" HD gun, shooting .410 000 buck twice, then three rounds of .45 LC JHP.

The gun is so lite that i could through it from my house to china. Its a 2 inch barrel but the pattern isnt so great but it makes a great concealed carry firearm though. I think the judge is a great firearm all and all.
