40 caliber ammunition.

I've bought a Para P-16 and after running a 100 rounds of Remington UMC 180 grain FMJ at my local range Wednesday, I was pleasantly surprised at the performance of both the gun and ammo.

What type of JHP ammo recommendations would those that carry pistols chambered in this caliber make? I might be inclined to CCW this pistol after some more extensive range sessions with ammo recommendations from the members at TFL.

Thanks for any replies & thoughts.

My .40 carry-load of choice is the Winchester Ranger 180gr. Excellent ballistics and plentiful supply at every gun show.

1) Remington 165 grain Golden Saber
2) Speer 155 grain Gold Dot
3) Corbon 150 grain JHP

Stay with the lighter loads in the 150 to 165 range...180 grain loads have not had as good of results as the lighter 150-165 grain loads.

For real premium use Corbon DPX. Don't use 'reduced recoil' rounds .Everything else is fine.
