I'm looking for recipies for these velocities:
1049fps
1002fps
972fps
I'm using these powders:
Bullseye
Unique
Power Pistol
TiteGroup
Universal
W231
AA#5
Would prefer start and max charges with O.A.L
I actually have some data for the 1002fps
Universal 4.5 C.O.L. 1.445" Hodgdon web
W231* 4.4 C.O.L. 1.445" Hodgdon web

and 972 fps
Universal 4.3 C.O.L. 1.445" Hodgdon web
W231* 4.3 C.O.L. 1.445" Hodgdon web
I have the Lyman 49th edition and Lyman Pistol & revolver 3rd edition
but they are only listing loads for a 120gr. lead bullet.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

You did not specify a barrel length. So your criteria of 1000 fps could be, as far as I know, from the range of an 8 inch barrel to a 2 inch barrel. Assuming you are not using a lever action rifle.

I have lots of Bullseye and a can of estate sale Green Dot. I tested the powders and decided to use up the old can of Green Dot first. It shot to point of aim in the snubbie at 4.5 grains, so that is what I am using.

Both of the Bullseye loads were accurate in the M10-5.

I seat to the crimping groove on the bullet. I have no idea of the OAL.

Not to hijack the thread but does anyone know if reducing the COAL from speers manual by .010" from 1.440 to 1.430 would cause a big rise in pressure? I ask because I just loaded up some montana gold 125gr jhp not having their data. I am using 4.7grs of Bullseye and the charge range is from 4.5-4.8. I had to reduce the length to crimp in the groove
