Hello all I am looking for a good source of .311 diameter bullets for reloading for my 1942 no.1 mkIII lee enfield I just purchased. I would prefer fmj but cast would be good also.Dose anybody know a good source to buy them in bulk for a reasonable deal. My proffered are seirra, remington, winchester, and privy partizan. But other brands are welcome. Thanks.

I cast the Lee 311-155-1R mold which does so-so in my CZ carbine. Just remember you have to use gas checks and all that jazz.

problem with casting bullets is you have to get 3 sets of dies

1. seating, decapping
2. bullet mold die
3. resizer die for resizing and installing gas checks

Bullet mould die? Must be special order item. Anyway, SurplusShooter, since you like FMJ, have you thought of swaging? Corbin could make you a set. I wonder if you could get by with one of their reloading tool swage dies? These are threaded for 7/8-14 to use in regular press..would have to be a heavy duty cast-iron "O" type though. your only going from.308 to .311,
.003".

Hornady # 3120 150 Gr softpoint interlock Flat base .312" .
Enfields frequently prefer flat bases over boat tails & are frequently larger in diameter than .311";)
