so I happened to see a recent episode of johnnies reloading bench on youtube. He pushed some Speer Gold Dot rifle bullets at unintended speeds. It was of particular interest to me seeing as I accidentally bought 200, .308 150g Gold dots intended for the 300blk... for my 30-06. In this testing in a 300 win mag, point blank, at around 3300fps, there was good expansion, and about 30% weight loss. Considering I will be running these in a 30-06 at around 2900fps, and my target will most likely be in the 100-300yd range I'm thinking these will be potent medicine on deer this fall. I had set them back for a rainy day, was not sure what I was going to do with them.... now they are getting loaded up!
