3 position safety for M700

Does the 3 position safety that brownells sells lock the bolt shut such as on a Model 70? the catalog says it allows you to remove the bolt with the safety on or something like that but says nothing about locking it shut.

Headroom, I've installed 3 this season and I can't for the life of me remeber if they lock the bolt or not. I don't think they do. George

Gee, my brother has one on his Remington 700 (left hand no less) and I can't remember either! I'll email and ask.

OK, my brother responded and here's what he reports:

In the most rearward position the bolt is locked (like you suspected). She don't move.

I just got one in for another rifle today. By gosh, it does lock the bolt. Well, I was always told the memory is the first thing to go.... George
