I'm getting the SA revolver itch. Which brands should I investigate? I want a convertible .22lr/.22magnum. I think a .22 magnum rifle/single action revolver combo would be awesome!

Ruger Single-Six.

The Ruger Single Six is a peach. Great fun to shoot and surprisingly accurate and powerful in .22 mag. My buddy has killed a couple of coyotes with his, one at almost 70 yards.

I've looked closely at the Heritage Rough Rider models which are basically a budget copy of the Single Six. They run about half the price but I haven't been impressed enough with the quality to spring for one. I shoot a lot and it just didn't seem like it would hold up in the long term.

I think the Ruger Single Six has by far the best reputation out of any SA .22 Revolver
