German police have been put on their guard when dealing with people carrying mobile phones after border guards discovered a gun dealer with "phone guns".

The guns appear to be mobile phones but can fire four bullets in quick succession.

Officers have been told to be ready to draw a weapon when stopping a suspect with a mobile phone.

Ten .22 calibre weapons were seized when a Croatian gun dealer was arrested trying to smuggle them into Switzerland.

Totally whacked. Have your gun ready when someone has a cellphone??? Well, they have to with DayRunners now anyway, so why not cellphones? Yuppies beware... you might get taken down for waving your DayRunner and cellphone at a cop.

Day Runner is like a Day Timer; a notebook full of appointments you don't want to keep, and people you don't want to talk to.
