.22 Fun gun

I just finished my .22 "fun gun" and I think it came out pretty good. With the cost of shooting getting a little crazy I decided to pick up another rimfire as a fun plinker. Here she is.

Ruger 18.5 in SS carbine (not the plastic reciever)
Stock Weaver Rail
OD green Tapco T6 stock(I know)
VQ Auto Bolt Release
VQ Extended Mag Release
King Arms OD Green Vertical Foregrip
Silver Millet SP2 Redot (30mm/5MOA Dot)
I cut the rail gaurd to fit with the vertical fore grip as well.

I think it will be a fun gun to plink with, what do you think?

Tactical plinking.... interesting concept....

The guts of the 10/22 should do just fine. The stock and fore-grip, on the other hand... I fail to see the point.

Eh, some people just like the 'assault rifle' platform but want to shoot cheaply. Similar in concept to the AR 22 uppers or the GSG5.

Ruger has never made a plastic "reciever" for the 10/22. The reciever is aluminum, and always has been.

The trigger assembly on newer ones is plastic.

Good job on the rifle though. I'm not into "tactical" myself, but that looks like you'll have fun with it.

My son (likes AR's/AK's) had a blast today with my old Mod. 75 Win. He shot it all day and consistantly remarked on it's accuracy. He was using Shoot N See repair dots for targets.

The Mod 75 is at the top. I threw in the 700 Rem SPS (also a tack driver) for comparison.
