I have found that running 20 gauge shells in a break open every thing works pretty well. When I went to run them through the auto loader one last time quail hunting I found that the base had flattened out to a point that most of them would not function. This was with AAs and Rems both. To get them to function in the auto, I had to pretty much run them through the auto to start with. Hope this helps.
