This could be fun....This is kinda off season..so many coyote hunt....Post a pic..or a few pics....Give some details and post the total at that point....This is kinda cool cause it is continent wide....

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was actually out huntin for hogs the other mornin....I see this fella cross a high line right of way....Next see these cattle..coming thru the brush..in the next pasture....The yote comes runnin thru the fence and lookin back behind him....He gets about 150-200 yds from me broadside and stops for a second....I drop the hammer....Remington 742 Carbine..30-06..180 gr..

Can I just post nice pictures of empty fields, roads and clearings?

Seriously, that is all we ever get!!!

Tried it the other afternoon, again!, with typical results.

And to add insult to injury when we stopped to unlock the gate about a hour after dark we could hear one howling.......frustrating.

I normally don't predator hunt..but will bust a yote when I get a chance....

Got a FoxPro......

Works on owls, crows, hawks, raccoons and one VERY AGGRESSIVE mockingbird. Did see one bobcat for a fleeting moment once but that's it so far.

Supposedly with the does dropping right now the fawn bleat is what to use.....that was what we went with last week.

Most of the time though I've run the cottontail screams......

And we've no shortage of them......see tracks and scat every time in the roads.

Got two this morning while turkey hunting.Today was the first break in nasty weather in three days and they musta been hungry. First one came in directly and ate a load of fives @ 20 yards. Went down like a ton of bricks. Second one musta seen me before I seen him and was sneaking off broadside @ about 40. He jumped straight up in the air bitin' at his side where those copper plated bees were stingin' him. He left an easy blood trail in the snow and was dead when I got to him in about 50 yards. Both were big males and both were in good physical condition. I was runnin' and gunnin' so they stayed where they laid. Shot 'em about 90 minutes and a quarter of a mile apart, and both came in to the turkey callin' within 10 minutes of the setup. No decoy was used. Both shot on small Oak ridges in a very large tract of forested public land. First one shot about 8:00 a.m. and the second about 9::30 a.m.
