Is there such a thing as the 1 3/4 inch 20 gauge mini shells??

I know they are available for 12 ga, but can not seem to find them in 20 ga.

Thanks!

No but you can roll your own, reloading shotshells is a snap. Getting them to feed though may be more of a challenge without the adapters available for the 12s.

Thanks!

I ordered some low recoil 20 gauge. Lucky Gunner. Actually have the 12 ga clip for mini shells and also low recoil 12 ga. Have not fired them yet but will soon.

Thanks again!

Just now shot 20 shells of 20 ga Mossberg 500 Persuader. Approx 5 yards.

I had put on a Shockwave Tech Raptor grip to replace the pistol grip.

First 5 shots were regular #8 shot. Quite a bit less recoil than the pistol grip....actually very much fun. With the pistol grip, my hand hurt for a couple of days with 5 rounds....not so with the Raptor gip

Next 15 shells were Winchester AA Low noise/low recoil # 8 shot. Fantastic. Again more fun. And less noise.

The gun performed flawlessly rapid fire....rapid for my old body.

All 20 rounds had a nice accurate tight pattern at that 5 ish yards. Tore the targets I had on my stands to pieces. I believe that this will be a good defensive gun.

Now to progress to 000 or 0000 buck....or what ever it is called. I think the 0000 has 27 pellets that are 38 caliber ea??????… not sure. And also to back up a couple of yards.

I am anticipating the 590 Shockwave in 12 ga. I have mini shells for it as well as the low noise/low recoil.

Any one want to buy a Remington 870 Express Magnum (lefthanded) 12 ga. I have had it since around 2005 and it probably has less than 150 rounds through it. If I had been able to find a short barrel (18 1/2 ") I would have just put a Raptor Grip on it and be done....dang it. Maybe I will give it to my grandsons when they get a tad older.

????

The more 0's the bigger the shot. Do believe that 0000 would be single digit numbers.

Google is our friend, for 12 gauge 2 3/4 8 pellets. 12 for 3" mag 12 gauge.

No reason you can't load your own. You should be able to pick up a Lee Load All, a roll crimper, and load data from Ballistic Products for under $100, easy.

The hard part is feeding. You might have to improvise something like an Opsol miniclip too.

Some confusion, look it up

No shotgun shoots 38 caliber balls. OOO for 12 gauge is 36 but nobody loads that in 20. The biggest pellets for 20 are #1 buck, 9 pellets from Rio and Spartan. You can also get #2 and #3 buck loads in 2 3/4 or 3 inch from the major players. These are 30, 27 and 25 caliber respectively. Still good enough up close but a 20 is not a 12 as far as payload. And you guys wanting mini shells are just wishing for a jam when you need your gun the most.

Then your limit is set regardless of the length.

I think your answer misses the point.
