I stumbled across a link for the new Remington R1 1911. Except for the Series 80 style mechanism- I haven't found any dislikes about this thing yet (judging from the pic and article). I'm guessing Remington will make their release date of May 20th, but has anyone here have any more info? Like, will there be any hideous S&W style safety locks or other special keys required to put the thing into operation? Will Remington expand on this product line with Commander, or other such sized options?
