I recently acquired a 1958 Colt Python what a beauty and yes pictures are coming. My FFL said that if he had it he would never shoot it, but life is too short and I want to enjoy it.

Any way I bought a 1958 Magazine advertisement for Colts from ebay, looks original but under the colt which is list for $125 by the way it says ".375 Magnum" and not ".357 Magnum"

Do I have an advertisement which was printed in correctly or what?

Promise to share pictures of the beauty if you shed some light on this.

An obvious mis-print.

The only Pythons ever actually sold by Colt were in .38 Special and .357 Magnum.

Colt did experiment with a few other calibers, but NONE were ever sold and are now in the Colt museum.

I contacted the seller of the old Magazine ads - he checked his stock some are printed correctly and some with mis-print - he didn't know and says now that the misprinted ones are worth more mony

Any thanks and I will post a scan soon.

Something like that ad could be an interesting bit of firearms trivia. Didn't H&K have a poster at a SHOT show that showed a magazine with the cartridges loaded backwards?

By the way, congrats on your new Python.
