1911SC problems

I am having some feeding issues with my 1911. When using the factory Novak mag it will try to feed the top 2 rounds from the mag. It will load the first round into the chamber, but if I try to remove the mag after that it will strip the 2nd round loaded in the magazine. If I put the round back in the mag and reinsert it, it won't do it again. The other problem is when I use my Nighthawk mag, and load the full 8 rounds the last round(unfired) will stovepipe. It won't stovepipe the round if I load less than 8 in the magazine. Hopefully all this made sense, and someone can help me.

The first problem sounds like a worn out magazine. If I were you I'd pick up a Wilson magazine and give that a try. You need to be careful what style magazines you use in an alloy framed 1911 and Wilson is a good choice. As far as the factory magazine goes I have no clue if there is a warranty on those or not.
