I tried posting this on the smith forum with out much luck maybee some one here can help I just received 2 frames they appear to be 80% castings for a 1911 style pistol. The only markings are on the right side of the mag well. It is a circle cast into the frame AABERDEEN ARMORY this is wrapped around to large A's Logo I am quessing the frames are aluminum any Idea or knowledge of these? can they be made into a shooter or are they just interesting paper weights? any help would be great thank you

Not sure of the maker but with the right milling equipment they should be able to be made into functioning frames.As they are,they are not classified as firearms,yet!
