Hi guys,
I have been putting pen to paper basically designing my latest project gun. A year ago i bought a heavy cone barrel with a compensator attached. I understand that the added weight and the comp will definately reduce recoil.
My other comp guns have a bushing with threaded barrels and my gunsmith has said that he can turn down the cone barrel to the same spec to fit a bushing should i want to do so. This pistol is for competition use only.
Lots of people i have spoken to have spoken for and against the cone barrel. Many saying that when it wears down it expensive etc.
Do any of you guys have experience with cone or cone with compensator setups in your 1911s? If so, where you happy with the result?
