1873 winchester.

i have a Winchester 44-40 lever rifle and im looking for the lever safety lock and the screw that holds it in place....
does anyone know where to get an original for it.hoping to keep it original so the value isint affected.

Do you mean the little stud on the very, very left of my picture? My gun is a Uberti/Euroarms 1873 and I have serious doubts that this piece, if fitted properly, could be told from the real McCoy!

i called today on the part and they said that have been sold out for a couple years on that part.
is there any place else you know of that might have it

Here's some places to try, but be aware, the original Winchester parts have pretty well dried up, and what's available are Italian replica parts.

Even if you buy a Winchester part, it may well actually be Italian. The only way you might tell is if the bluing is TOO good.

Here's some possible sources, but you better be 100% CLEAR about what you want, and even then be prepared to get Italian. In all cases, you need to either actually call or email, they may not have something listed online.

and thank you for the help and information.
i am aware that original parts are hard to find if at all
but something is better than nothing and i can always
re-do the part to simulate the patina of the rifle if need be.
