18" barreled autoloader: Rem 11-87 police vs Mossberg 930spx?

I'm looking for a good 18" barreled autoloader. I'd like to ues it for tactical shotgun courses and as a home defense tool. I've decided I prefer autoloaders to pumps and am looking at these two.

930 SPX:

Cheaper
7+1 capacity
Cylinder Bore
Quality Control issues regarding offset front sights make me nervous though.

11-87 police:

6+1 capacity
A little more expensive and hard to find
Improved Cylinder Bore
Might not feed as reliably as the mossberg.

I'm pretty torn. Any suggestions?

ive been looking hard at the 930 but in the combo package. i dont have a field gun so it would fill the role nicely. heres a review i stumbled on this morning.

Well, looks like the 930spx is the way to go. I already have my field gun bases covered with a 28" 870 wingmaster and a 26" beretta A391 xtrema2.

Anyone have tips on how to make sure you get one without a canted front sight?

I Just bought two of the 930 SPX's. The front sights are straight on both!

Maybe they fixed the QC issue...

My local Dicks Sporting Goods store carries the SPX. They usually have several in-stock. If you have one near you, I would suggest going there. You can choose the best one. That's what I did.
