147gr 9mm in my 24/7?

I picked up some Winchester Super X 147grain 9mm ammo at a gun show a couple weeks ago.

Usually I shoot the WWB 115gr ammo and am just wondering if anyone thinks that this ammo will be a bit too rough on my PT24/7. I'm sure it will be fine since the pistol is approved for +P ammo as well.

any thoughts?

I dont think im side lining this thread with an extra question as its very inline with the OP's.
I carry Hornady CD 115gr 1140/332
I feel its a good round,but wouldn't a 147gr +p be alot nastier?

9mm+P 147gr Bonded Defense JHP
Ballistics : 147gr @ 1135fps / 421ft. lbs.

To me it would be like a very wide margin in damage between the 2 rounds.
Granted recoil is a big increase, lets look past that for now.

Thoughts?

With the newer designed personal protection rounds, the 147 grain is a great choice. Before I sold my Glock 26, I carried the 147grain Federal HST and saw excellent results.

it would.........but it may slow follow up shots. i use 147gr Rem GS. on brassfetcher.com it shows it penetrating 12" and expands to .60. mild recoil helps follow up shots.

As in actual defensive use? We'd love to see your data!

If the round is reliable in your gun, I would ignore web opinions about bullets and direct the energy saved to training and practice.

Shot placement trumps almost everything else.
