Anyone have a load for 12ga SxS 1oz extra lite?

I don’t load much in the way of 1 Ounce loads, but my new favorite Grouse load is:

Winchester AA Hull
W209 Primer
Downrange XXL Pink Wad
7/8 Ounce of Shot

Using #6 Shot, it’s deadly on Grouse.

What powder and charge weight are you using?

Just a minor omission.

20.0 Grains of Green Dot. (I love Green Dot). Around 1,300 FPS. If someone wants an even lighter load, 17 Grains of Red Dot also makes a good load, about 1,200 FPS.

Here's a favorite of mine:
RP Nitro 27, STS, Gun Club hull
WW209 primer
18.5 of Clays
CB1100-12 wad
1 oz. #6 hard shot
1235 fps

Another:
RP RTL or Premier hull
RP 209P primer
21.0 of Green Dot
RXP12 or R12H wad
1 1/8 oz. #6 hard shot
1230 fps.

The Clays load burns clean and is a good all around reload. The GD load patterns tight for longer shots; comes from Lyman shotshell #4. CB

I had dominant shoulder surgery two years ago and am not comfortable shooting my SxS any longer....switched to a 20ga auto which is great, but I do miss hunting birds with a SxS.
