10mm brass valuable?

Last couple of times I've been to the range with my G21 10mm project, dudes have asked if they could have my brass (sure, I said). I don't shoot enough of one caliber to reload (yet) but is 10mm that valuable for some reason?

no more so thatn any other caliber. after finding enough brass of a new type i usually end up buying a gun in that caliber since i already have the brass

Out of brass I pick up that isn't shot by me,, 9mm, 40, and 45acp are the most common. Usually get a few 380s. Rarely do I find anything else though indoor wise I go first thing in the morning right when the range opens.

It is unusual to find someone shooting 10mm who does not pick up his brass and reload it.

You can buy new Starline 10mm brass for around $86/500 rounds. Fired brass usually goes for some percentage of new.
If you pick up your own and throw it in a bag, when you get 500 pm or email me. :)

Best, Rich

It's certainly valuable to me given the price of loaded 10mm ammo. The guys are probably simply asking out of courtesy to make sure that you're not keeping it yourself. As has been mentioned, most 10mm shooters are also handloaders due to price, availability, and selection of factory ammo.

Oh I get that, and every single person who has asked for my brass has always been courteous. It's just that I noticed being asked for my 10mm brass way more often than other calibers. As I said, I don't shoot it enough (yet) to be worth reloading so I'm glad someone will make good use of it. Thanks for the perspective, all.

Well, 10mm brass is valuable too me anyway. It's the only caliber I shoot where if I'm missing a case or two after a shooting session, I'll spend a little extra time to see if I can actually find it. Not so much for the other calibers.

I want your 10mm brass! :D

It's funny I just posted a WTB post in another forum.

I have 150 pieces and just got a box of HPA 180g XTP's.

I would like to get 1k+ of 10mm brass stocked up.
