10ga Mini Shells?

Hey y’all, I could possibly be trading for or purchasing from family a BPS10 that has been cut down to 18.5” and had a ghost ring thrown on it. Its gotten me kicking around some ideas.

Does anyone know of a company that would custom make for me a taller shell holder so that I could load 2” or 2.25” 10ga shells?

I know the 12ga BPS will feed the 1.75” Aguila minis, I don’t see any reason why the 10ga shouldn’t as well.

Shell holder? What are you loading these on, a metallic press as opposed to a shotgun press?

Never loaded shotshells before. Have loaded rifle and pistol. Forgive my ignorance.

Shotshells have their own press design (although there have been some that were adapted, somewhat poorly). The issue will be finding 10 gauge press, which will need some modifications for shells shorter than 2-3/4", and then cutting down regular hulls and skiving them properly.

It could be an interesting project though.

Now, RST sells 2-5/8" 10 gauge ammo; you might think about settling for that initially:
