Looking around I see several PDs in my area have switched to the 45acp in M&P and some in Glock. With all the newer high speed rounds with higher mag count we've come full circle back to the 45 auto. The Tact units have been begging for a 1911. The State Patrol Swat team finally got issued the S&W 1911 and Feds chose a 1911 45 acp. 100 years later, with a few improvements, the 1911 is still here and requested by quiet professionals. I'm just reflecting on all of this but it is amazing. The 1911 45 acp an amazing gun and cartridge!
