10/22 safety removal

Ok. I got my 10/22 down to the bare pieces, and having found a wonderful video showing the reassembly, proceeded to attempt to put it back together. I got it almost entirely completed before I realized that both the trigger unit wouldnt work and also the safety wouldnt work. Im sure Im not missing any pieces, but I'd like to remove the safety from the trigger housing and wipe it down. But I dont know how to pop it out, and after spending 15 minutes online looking for a description w/ pictures, Ive come up empty. Can anybody help me or knows what specific problem Im having?

I can help you but right now, I am having PC problems so I will try to be brief. The problem is in the toe engagement of the front part of the sear into a slot of the safety shaft. Go back and pull the trigger-sear-disconnector assembly and reinstall, making sure you are in that slot.

Also, go to U-tube and look for a video that shows how to remove the safety as well as other 10/22 work.
