03A3 markings

Hi all,

I've just bought a 1903A3 rifle, Remington made:

Now, this rifle has two stampings on it. On the right side in big letters, AAG, which I assume means Augusta Armory, G being the inspector. In the right side, L SAA which I assume is San Antonio Armory, L being the inspector? Finally, two P stampings, one in a circle, one not. All of this on a scant stock. The metal pieces on the stock are very clearly forged, not stamped, whereas the metal plate on the bottom of the magazine is stamped.

Did this go through two rebuilds? What would be the reason for that?

I'll upload more photos tonight.

Thanks!!

Hard to tell form the photo but it appears to be a Rem floor plate and a Rem stock. Most A3's have seen at least one clean and repair and two would not be unusual. Looks like a nice rifle, how's it shoot?
