Thinking of picking up a Ruger American Pistol in 9MM. Anyone out there shooting one? I would use as an IDPA and home defense. Carry when I need to. But most times I carry a Kimber Ultra Carry 3 inch 1911 in .45. Just would like to know how you like the gun.

I reload for CAS. using .45 Colt. with 5.9 gr of Trail Boss. Manual states 5.5 - 6.5 Gr. 200 gr. bullet. My handguns are race ready light springs. So only Federal large pistol primers will work every time. I can't get any as of right now. I do have Federal Match Magnum large pistol primers...

Does anyone know how many springs are under the buffer retainer? One or two.? Changed buffer tube and learned that retainer is spring loaded. Did it myself because can't find a local smith within a two hour drive.:eek:Thanks
