I was thinking of getting a 22 rimfire handgun, and was leering toward the single six, possibly in the 9.5 inch barrel length. Anyone have one of these? Are they a pretty durable revolver? And would a shorter barrel length be better (Used mostly for hunting pop cans and the occasional grouse)

I was thinking of boring out a devastator hollow point mould to make it a plain base, eliminating the need for gas checks. Other then having to work up a new load due to the heavier bullet weight does anyone think there may be some unforseen risks involved?

Is it advisable to trim 44 magnum cases that have split at the neck down to 44 special? These cases have been fired a fair amount of times and I think I had to trim them maybe once, anyways will the brass still be useable for a few more loads as a 44 special? or has the brass work hardened to much?
